  TOP TEN
  Q & A

FIRST CONCERT ATTENDED?
The first concert I ever attended was a Swedish band called Ulf Lundell. He’s a songwriter, composer, and musician. It’s hard to describe his music but he has been compared to a Swedish Bob Dylan. He’s very big in Sweden and definitely was one of my favorites growing up.

FAVORITE CONCERT?
I would have to say the Rolling Stones in Copenhagen. I love the Stones, love their energy in their performance and there still going strong.

HOW DOES MUSIC PUMP YOU UP BEFORE A BIG GAME?
I listen to a lot of music, a lot of Kid Rock since I’m in Detroit. I listen to all sorts of stuff especially in the car on the drive to the rink; a bit of everything, Swedish stuff, non Swedish stuff.

IF YOU COULD FORM A BAND, WHO WOULD YOU INCLUDE?
I’d take a fusion of American and Swedish musicians – Mick Jagger and Bruce Springsteen from America and Ulf Lundell and Lars Winnerback from Sweden. That is a tight band.

DO YOU PLAY ANY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS? IF YOU DON'T, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
No, unfortunately, I just never had the time to learn and play. If I could, I’d probably pick the guitar or piano.

WHO CONTROLS THE STEREO IN THE PISTONS DRESSING ROOM?
It would definitely be Chris Chelios, sometimes he lets us put some of our music in but as we get closer to game time, it’s all him.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DRIVING SONG?

I would say The Sounds “Song with a Mission”

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AMERICAN AND SWEDISH MUSIC?
I think there is a lot of talented Swedish musicians and song writers. We’re such a tiny country and we have produced some great musical talent.
