  MY NOISE - MUSIC

Born in Sudan, the country’s civil war broke out thrusting Emmanuel into a role of a Child Solider and recruited into the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (“SPLA”). Emmanuel spent several years fighting for the SPLA and when things became unbearable, Emmanuel ran away at 11 years old. In due time, he met a British Aid worker by the name of Emma McCune who smuggled him to Kenya. In Kenya, Emmanuel started dabbling in music and within a few short years has become recognized worldwide as a musical artist with a message of peace, performing at Live Aid and Nelson Mandela’s 90th Birthday party.

EMMANUEL, YOUR CHILDHOOD OBVIOUSLY HAS A HUGE IMPACT ON YOU NOW AS AN ADULT. HOW DO YOU REMEMBER IT AND DOES IT SEEM LIKE A DIFFERENT TIME?
My Childhood is with me every day. It’s hard to let everything go because my childhood was lost between the ages of 6 to 13. There is a very important time for personal development and maturation, and I still have very strong memories of what I went through on many occasions.
